**Review:**
- The app seamlessly integrates OpenWeatherMap, MET Meteorologisk Institute, Amazon weather data, GPS, and the phone's onboard barometer to accurately calculate air density, density altitude, a useful feature for tuners and aviators.
- The app functions effectively without a cellular connection or barometer.
- It offers the option to work without access to your current location to prioritize privacy. You can manually select any place in the world on the map and retrieve data for that location.
- The app supports weather stations like Kestrel DROP, Kestrel 5x00, WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter, Skywatch BL, allowing weather data retrieval via Bluetooth.
This application provides a comprehensive set of features:
- Air Density
- Density Altitude
- Relative Air Density (RAD)
- Dew Point
- SAE - Dyno Correction Factor
- SAE - Relative Horsepower
- Station Pressure
- Saturation Vapor Pressure
- Virtual Temperature
- Actual Vapor Pressure
- Cumulus Cloud Base Height
- Dry Air
- Dry Air Pressure
- Volumetric Content of Oxygen
- Oxygen Pressure
The application intelligently retrieves position and altitude data for temperature, pressure, and humidity from the nearest weather station via the internet. For higher precision, supported devices utilize an internal barometer starting from iPhone 6/6+ and newer iPads. It can operate without GPS, WiFi, or an internet connection. In cases with no internet access, only the outside air temperature needs to be supplied.
This tool is valuable for pilots, drag racers, engine tuners, or individuals needing to conveniently access air density, density altitude, dyno correction factors, and other calculated parameters.
The application is structured into three tabs:
Results: Displaying the various parameters calculated along with the option to view detailed explanations of each parameter. History: Saving a history of all calculations to monitor changes in weather conditions. Weather: Allowing users to configure current weather values manually or opt to use GPS for real-time data. The tab also enables connection to external services to collect data from the nearest weather station. Users can select from various atmospheric pressure types and configure pressure sensors built into iPhones. The app supports multiple units of measurement such as ºC and ºF for temperatures, meters and feet for altitudes, as well as mb, hPa, mmHg, inHg for pressures.
For any inquiries about the app usage or further assistance, users can contact the developers. They encourage feedback from users to enhance the software based on user experience.
